exe in a folder you can launch from anywhere and encourages replay to unlock new characters - you can even play a kangaroo or any people from the trilogy generally. The installer makes its own self contained. Its called "Streets of Rage Remake" and the info can be found here: One of them is a remake of streets of rage on the Sega Megadrive / Genesis which is a really neat version of that particular trilogy. Some stuff is trash as modern remakes of anything can be, but there are some gems available. Kind of like the homebrew or modding scene on PC. Google is your friend as always, but in essence these are free remakes of the old stuff from uh, "back in the day" that people have generally made in their own time. Its all about a bad dude in the 1980s sweet revenge you see.Īlso the title card at the start of the film says "LASER UNICORNS" so you know youre on to the real deal.īeyond steam, there is the realm of retro remakes. It has Laser Raptors, The God of Thunder, Ninjas, Hacking as only movies know how and more. You can find it on Netflix, Steam, probably GOG.com and maybe even YouTube if you look. If I have not sold Kung Fury to you on that rubbish sounding description, bear in mind its based on a film called "KUNG FURY" which actually is very cool. its fairly simplistic and basically has one stage and 2 controls - left and right lol but its all about timing and combos and can be quite fun and challenging. On Steam, I would suggest Castle Crashers, but dont forget Mother Russia Bleeds! They are software emulators of various games hardware (MAME - Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator for example)
